Thanks to the initiative of one of our employees, Sarah Depuye, four pallets of Schlitz beer were sent to our military troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. She asked if we could join forces with Pizza4Patriots.com and DHL to provide our troops Lou Malnati''s Pizza and beer to watch the Super Bowl.
The decision was easy for the Pabst Brewery to make the donation with Schlitz''s longstanding legacy of supporting our troops. In 1898, three days after Dewey took Manila, one bottle of Schlitz beer was distributed to every member of the crews on all all U.S. Battleships. In addition, during WWII, every fourth bottle of Schlitz beer produced in the United States went overseas to the troops. It was an honor and privelage to provide a "taste of Home" to our military who are fighting to keep us all safe. Mission Accomplished!
