Domaine Dupont Pommeau

17% abv

A blend of Calvados at least two years old (1/3) and unfiltered apple must (2/3). This traditional beverage is then aged in 400L oak casks for about 14 months. The must is obtained just after pressing and before fermentation begins. The proportions are calculated to obtain a product with a final ABV of 17%, and is limited by appellation to 30-month maturation in those oak casks. This Pommeau is mahogany-colored, with a nose of butterscotch, spice, and hint of vanilla. The mouthfeel is velvet-like with flavors identical to the aromas.
