(LINCOLNWOOD, IL; Feb. XX, 2017)—Louis Glunz Beer, Inc., Chicagoland’s premier craft and specialty import beer distributor, announces three changes to its front office. Owner Jack Glunz, after 67 years in the business, is stepping into the position of CEO and promoting his son, Jerry Glunz, to President of Louis Glunz Beer, Inc. Additionally, Glunz is proud to welcome Ignacio G. Gonzales “JR” as the new General Manager.

As President, Jerry is not only well deserving of the promotion, but also readily equipped to bring future success to the business. “I am honored to be given this opportunity to carry on the winning tradition that we have enjoyed at Louis Glunz Beer Inc., and I look forward to introducing a lot of great beers to our friends in the Chicagoland area as well as throughout the country as the exclusive importer of Hirter, Haacht, and Stiegl.” Over the past 32 years, Jerry has learned the business from the ground up; working on the trucks, and in the Glunz warehouse throughout High School and College. Upon graduating from Loras College with a business degree, he worked in sales as a merchandiser, sales rep, brand manager and finally the Sales Manager before his most recent role as General Manager.

While serving as President, CEO Jack Glunz brought great growth, portfolio diversification, and incredible success to Louis Glunz Beer, Inc. Jack will continue to be active in the business, helping advise and guide the next generations and assisting in the growth and expansion of Glunz in the present and future years to come.

Assuming the role of General Manager, Ignacio Gonzales is ready to hit the ground running. Ignacio is by no means new to the beverage industry, bringing with him close to 20 years of experience with Heritage Wine Cellars. Through his strategic planning, intra-department team development, results-driven style, and hands-on approach, he took the company from $6 million in sales and 24 employees to $83 million in sales and 160 employees.
