Brian James
Area Sales Manager
With more than 20 years of experience in the beverage industry, Brian has built a well-rounded career spanning beer distribution, beverage sales, and account management. Before joining LGBI, he spent 12 years with two beer distributors and four years with a family-owned soda and CO₂ company. Nine years ago, he joined LGBI as a Sales Representative and has since grown into the role of Area Sales Manager, a position he has held for the past five years.
In his current role, he enjoys working closely with both the sales team and retail partners to grow brands and drive success throughout the market. He takes pride in LGBI’s diverse portfolio, representing a mix of local favorites, legacy craft breweries, and a wide selection of imported beers from around the world.
One of the highlights of his career at LGBI was the opportunity to visit the Stiegl and Hirter breweries in Austria, gaining firsthand experience with the heritage and craftsmanship behind two iconic beer brands.
Outside of work, he is a passionate Chicago sports fan and proudly supports the White Sox, Bears, and Blackhawks. He also enjoys spending time grilling with a cold beer in hand. Dedicated to serving his community, he serves as Commander of the Sons of the American Legion in his hometown of Lansing, Illinois, where he helps lead fundraising efforts that support veterans and first responders.
