Samu Rahn

Craft & Specialty Import Brand Manager

Samu Rahn joined the company in 2013 as a part-time events ambassador and has since grown through the roles of merchandiser, sales representative, key account manager, portfolio training specialist, brand manager, and resident Rauchbier evangelist. His interest in the industry was sparked whilst living as a couch-crashing vagabond in Scandinavia on a one-way ticket. There, he discovered how beer and its cohorts combined his interests in language, art, politics, history, chemistry, and, above all, bonhomie.

He carries an MBA from North Park University in Chicago (2011) and an Underberg Gold Cup whenever etiquette allows. He is a Certified Cicerone, panelist at the Beverage Testing Institute, and judge at GLINTCAP and FoBAB, the world’s largest competitions for cider & barrel-aged beer, respectively. Through his time at Glunz, he has traveled to many suppliers across the country and throughout Europe, deepening his understanding and appreciation of historical craft at its source.

When not proselytizing for better beverage, he gadabouts. When not gadabouting, he makes metal in several bands and writes cheeky haiku about cinema.
