Sonnenkönig III is matured several months in the “Alte Zwetschke” (plum brandy) oak barrel. Brewed in the style of an English Porter, the color recalls the sparkling brown of chestnuts. The fine chocolate notes of the beer combine harmoniously with the aromas of the ripe plums from the oak barrel.
